Types of Claims I can help you SETTLE

Hurricane/Wind Damage

Recovering after a Hurricane can be challenging and time-consuming since you are required to document every loss and negotiate a fair settlement, that is why it’s best to hire a public adjuster to handle your claim process.

Water Damage

Water damage can be considered silent damage since you may have it and not know about it. There are many different types of water damage and that is why it’s important to know what is covered in your home insurance policy.

Broken Pipes

Broken pipes are generally covered by your home insurance policy if their collapse is sudden and unforeseen but if it’s due to a rusty pipe or leaky pipe it may not be covered.

Fire

Fire damage is usually covered within your home insurance policy as personal property. If your belongings are damaged or destroyed in a fire, homeowners insurance may help pay to repair or replace them.

Tornadoes

Tornadoes are classified as windstorms by the insurance companies and for the most part windstorms are covered.

Mold

Your home insurance will cover mold if a “covered peril” caused the damage. In that case, your home insurance policy will likely pay for mold removal, repairs, and clean-up.

Supplemental Claims

You may open a supplemental claim if you discovered additional damage to your initial claim open. The damage must be related to the same event that triggered the initial claim. The supplemental claim will provide you with additional money, if approved, to make the repairs.

Loss by Collapse

Structural damage to the building including the foundation caused by sinkhole activity can be major damage to your property.

Roof Leaks

It can be easily misinterpreted if not done by a professional.

Claim Cycle

1. Report the Damage
Report your Property Damage to your Insurance company with proper documentation.
2. Claim Acknowledgement Letter
Your insurance has 14 days to send your Claim Acknowledgement Letter.
3. Initial Inspection
Property Damage Evaluation performed by the insurance representative.
4. Waiting Period
The Insurance company can take between 30 to 90 days for a determination.
5. Proof of Loss (POL)
You will receive a POL from your insurance company. You have 60 days to comply with this requirement.
6. Determination Letter
You will receive a determination letter from your insurance.
The determination of your claim could be satisfactory, denied, under deductible, or underpaid.

According to ValuePenguin,

“47% of homeowners do not know what their homeowner’s insurance policies coverage. In fact, nearly 20% have never reviewed their policies.” By Maxime Croll

If you already have an open claim and you are too busy to comply with all the insurance company requirements. I know is time-consuming.

Your home insurance company wants a fast settlement to prevent you to hire a Public Adjuster.

If your claim was Denied, Underpaid (you just got money for repairs), or Under Deductible. We can help you get a Supplemental Payment.

You got a settlement and you need a second opinion with a specialist on the field that advocates for you, the homeowner, to see if your claim was paid fairly.

If your claim is unresponsive or there are delays in your settlement. The insurance usually has 30 days to provide a response about your claim (approved, denied or you just get money for repairs) after the POL (Proof of Loss) is submitted.

If you are caught in a crisis, you can turn to a Public Adjuster to help you land a substantial settlement. They are professionals who can properly represent you in your home damage claims, however small or big it may be.

It's very important to keep in mind that the insurance adjuster represents your insurance company, NOT YOU.

Public Adjusters were created by the Florida Department of Financial Services to provide Fair and Equal representation to homeowners with insurance in the Property Claim Process.
